Bicentennial Mall plans a November 7 return for its 95-bell carillon
A free concert listing offers a reason to revisit the park's musical landmark, with the starting time still to be announced.

Some public landmarks are meant to be heard as well as seen. Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park's carillon links Tennessee's musical heritage to ninety-five bells, representing the state's ninety-five counties. Its towers give the north end of the park a distinctive shape even before any music begins.
Tennessee State Parks currently lists a free Carillon Concert for Saturday, November 7, 2026, celebrating the carillons' reopening with the Friends of Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. The program describes Tennessee melodies and other tunes. Its starting time is still marked TBD, so the date alone is not enough to plan an arrival.
The listed meeting area is the field beside the Carillon and Court of Three Stars at the park's north end. Organizers suggest bringing a lawn chair or blanket and list free parking along Sixth and Seventh Avenues North. Use the official registration page to check the final time, availability and any updated arrangements.
The reopening program is a specific future event, rather than a guarantee that the bells are playing on a routine schedule today. For questions, the listing provides 615-920-4126. On the day, leave room simply to listen: an outdoor instrument changes the experience of a familiar public space without requiring a seat inside a concert hall.
